About This Station

The station is powered by an Ambient Weather WS-2080 weather station. The computer collecting the data and uploading it to the server is a Raspberry Pi a single-board, credit card sized microcomputer running the Linux operating system. The data is collected every few seconds and the site is updated via WeeWx, a free, open source, software program, written in Python, which interacts with the weather station to produce graphs, reports, and HTML pages. An extension called, WeeWxWD, provides the necessary files to be read by web site templates (see below). The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.
